Pancake Breakfast, Altar Server Gifts, Free Throw Contest, Men on Fire Retreat
/
This weekend was a busy one for us with the Altar Server Gifts, "Men on Fire" retreat luncheon, pancake breakfast, and free throw contest.
I want to thank all of you who worked so hard behind the sceens to make everything run smoothly. I am really proud to be your GK.
A special thanks to Jerret C., John N., and Mike B. for their work with the altar server appreciation gifts and new sign. The statues were so nice we had parishioners wanting to purchase them!
The "Men on Fire" luncheon crew did an excellent job serving over 150 lunches in just over 40 minutes. Thanks to Tom K., Larry P., John N., and Brian K. A job well done and appreciated by retreat organizers and attendees alike.
We had a tremendous turnout for our pancake breakfast. When I got there at 7:00AM everything was already set up by our early morning kitchen and dining hall crews - too many of you to mention. I would like to call special attention to Brian K for taking his computer to show our slides and Jim Nissler for setting up our display board and putting out the finger rosary basket.
Winners of our free throw contest, led by Dick Anderson for the past 15 years or so, have been sent in to DD Dan Lawrence. Thanks to Dick and his crew for a job well done.
Last but not least I want to thank the cleanup crew. Some of you were there all morning. We have a great reputation with the kitchen staff thanks to you guys and that means a lot to them as they work so hard to serve our school children.
God bless you all,
GK Mike Casanova
